Engaged! // Adam + Tim

Adam and Tim are a couple that I instantly connected with. Frankly, I would say we are on our way to being fast friends, which is the BEST when it comes to wedding clients. I’ve been so fortunate over the years to stay in touch with the couples who book me as their photographer for their wedding and that truly means so much!

Adam and Tim are a couple that makes you feel welcome. Hospitality is a part of who they are. Whether it’s a night out or a night in, they are going to dazzle their guests. One thing I love the most about these two is their sincere connection. They adore one another and you really leave their presence believing in the idea of soulmates and love. I am SO looking forward to their wedding next year. I can already tell that they surround themselves with the very best people and they are going to throw one hell of a party, while also inspiring everyone around them!

Engaged! // Katie + Erik

Katie and Erik met right as the global pandemic of 2020 was setting in and while it felt like the world was crazy and unknown, Katie and Erik were certain of one thing - they were in love! Over the last year, these two experienced life and the beginning of their relationship in such a special way and when Erik proposed, Katie knew the answer was yes! For their engagement session, we took a walk around the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis and I must say that I fell in love with these two! They are an absolutely amazing couple and I can’t wait to document their wedding day this fall!

Ally + Jake // Engaged!

Ally and Jake met while on the road for work. A few years later, Jake proposed and now they’re in full wedding planning mode for the 2020 season! For their engagement session, we went out to the oh-so-lovely Redeemed Farm and it was the perfect summer afternoon session! Since the couple is getting married out East, they wanted to bring in touches of the Midwest for their engagement photos. Redeemed Farm was truly the perfect location for this!

Leah + Justin // Engaged!

Leah and Justin totally have that ‘thing’ that happens when you know you’ve met the person you’re supposed to be with the rest of your life. They have ‘it’ - the mysterious, wonderful, unexplainable thing we call love. Leah grew up here in Minnesota, but the couple met out in Boston where they lived until recently! Together with their two pups, they’re settling back in the homeland and I couldn’t be more excited for their wedding this fall in Minnesota!

Chelsea + Brandon // Engaged!

Brandon and Chelsea are really something special. From the first time I heard Chelsea talk about her new fiancé, she was simply beaming with love and pride! I finally got to meet Brandon on the day of their engagement session and it’s clear that these two have the same adoration for each other! This couple is adventurous, bold and loves to have fun. Being outdoors is one of their favorite past times, so that’s exactly what we did for their engagement session!

We ventured out on a gorgeous winter day in Minnesota to Afton State Park. Brandon and Chelsea wanted to incorporate something they would actually do in real life, which was to take a little hike with their dog, Fynn, and share a bottle of wine over the campfire! (Note, this happened to be one of the couple’s favorite vineyards from Colorado - Varaison Vineyards) We checked all of those boxes for their session and I love how these turned out! So very excited for this couple and I can’t wait until their wedding day!

Engaged! // Trish + Chase

Chase noticed Trish from afar and it was love at first sight, but Trish didn't know it yet. The couple works for the same company and through a series of events - and one important morning at Starbucks - he finally found out her name. Chase worked really hard to figure out who the beautiful woman was and finally had the chance to ask her out on a date! 

One week after the couple met, Trish invited Chase to a family wedding in Colorado. Bold, right? I love it! It was there that Trish and Chase realized that they have all sorts of deep rooted connections with their friends and family and from that point on, the two were inseparable. 

Trish and Chase have traveled the world since then, even getting engaged in Rome! It's fitting that their wedding will be in Napa, where the wine will be flowing and the scenery will be stunning! For their engagement session, we kept it close to home here in Minneapolis, but incorporated elements of their big day (aka - the wine and bubbly!).

I have really loved getting to know Trish and Chase and totally fell in love myself with their story! I'm so happy for these two!

Engaged! // Stephanie + Neal

Stephanie and Neal met on their very last night of Law School and it was one year later that the couple took a trip to Colorado where Neal had that moment. He just knew that Stephanie was the one for him and that he had to marry this girl! Later that following Spring he proposed and here they are - planning their wedding! 

For their engagement session, we wanted to incorporate some real moments of their life. We stopped at City Hall, grabbed a cocktail at one of their neighborhood bars and spent the afternoon at Theo Wirth Park with their dogs. We took full advantage of the fall scenery and it was a beautiful day! 

Congratulations to Steph + Neal on their engagement! I can't wait for the big day!

Engaged! // Jenna + Darrin

Jenna and Darrin met in the 9th grade. He was best friends with her brother and totally had a high school crush. It wasn't until their senior year that the two began dating and they have been together ever since! Darrin proposed on his 30th birthday in their hometown of Duluth, where he had all of their family and friends gathered. What a way to ring in your 30s! 

Jenna has been following our work here at Photogen Inc. for a long time, so I was deeply honored when she asked me to photograph their upcoming wedding! It's been so wonderful to get to know this couple and for their engagement session, we went out to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, which was the perfect backdrop for their portraits.

Engaged! // Raquel + Jared

For those of us who have been to Chicago, we know how magical that city is. Raquel and Jared met one night out on the town and literally the rest is history! She is a beautiful, sweet woman who definitely found the man of her dreams in Jared and I am so very excited for their wedding! 

Raquel grew up in Minnesota, so the couple is coming home to get married! We ventured downtown for a Mill City engagement session and it was the perfect day! Can we also talk about how fun Raquel's dress is? Swoon!

Engaged! // Erin + Mickey

Life has a very funny way of working out. I met Erin and Mickey years ago, when Erin hosted a co-birthday-extravaganza with one of my friends at a cabin in Wisconsin. It was SUCH a fun weekend and a big moment for this couple. Mickey had just moved back from California and Erin mustered up the guts to ask him out on a date that weekend. In fact - there was something inside of her that knew she would marry Mickey from their first moments. 

That first date happened to be at Mancini's Char House in St. Paul, where we went back to for their engagement session! They sat at the bar, had martinis and that was that. Now here we all are, years later and I am invited to document the biggest party of their lives - I can't wait. These two are amazing and I am so happy for Mickey + Erin!

Engaged! // Katie + Travis

Katie and Travis have whatever it is. You know, that unexplainable thing that you see in couples and it is what we all strive for. It's a deep connection, a sense of respect, a great sense of humor and that little something special that brings it home. It's inspiring is what it is. I love the way that Katie and Travis talk about one another and spending time with them during their engagement session left me feeling all sorts of special to document this time in life for them.

Engaged! // Joanna + Jordan

Jordan and Joanna are a wonderful couple. Their happiness and positivity just make you smile and seeing the two of them just naturally puts you in a better mood. The couple met in college and have been having fun together ever since. We waited (literally) almost all winter to get the perfect snowy day for their engagement session and it was so worth the wait! We spent some time with their gorgeous Chocolate Lab, Ryder, and ventured into their neighborhood of the North Loop! 

Congratulations to Jordan and Joanna on their engagement! I am so excited for you two and can't wait for your wedding this fall!
