Each summer, there is a family reunion. This summer, I was bound and determine to get a fantastic portrait of Grandma Nolan! This is a very strong woman who has such a big heart and spunk for life!

I wanted to shoot film of the family and I was SO excited when the film came back...I nailed it! I absolutely love this image. I think it is classic and it was exactly the portrait I was going for!

And don't you just LOVE film? Each and every time I get film back from Richard Photo Lab, I get all giddy, because it looks SO good! You'd think it's new technology or something!

I have been photographing little Lilli since WAY before she was born! It all started with her parents getting married - then while she was in the belly - and NOW she is 1 year old!!! The DeLeon's have been coming in for monthly sessions for Lilli's first year and I can not say enough about how cool this experience as been!

I've gotten to see this little cutie grow up, and capture it along the way, but the best part is that Lilli and I are friends! That's right - I am friends with a 1 year old! Seriously, each time she came in for her session, she automatically lit up for me and I just LOVE photographing her!

World - meet Abbie! She is my SUPER cool, bad-ass-hair-color-tech-friend from Vancouver! Well, actually, she's an Aussie, but now chills out on the west coast of Canada!

I met Abbie a couple years ago through Brock and she has been a fabulous friend! While I was in Vancouver this past month, we did a bit of an impromptu photo session - I LOVE the way these turned out!

Whoop Whoop!

The NEW and uber FABULOUS issue of Minnesota Bride has hit news stands!

 I'm super excited to be featured for a third time in this amazing publication! This issue features a real wedding from the lovely Amy and Eric Howe!

Last night was also MN Bride's 'BEST OF' Awards and I couldn't have had more fun! It was so great to see so many of my great friends and make new ones!

A HUUUGE congratulations to two of my favorite people: Joy of Joynoelle for winning 'Best Custom Dressmaker' and to Emily J for winning 'Best Hair / Makeup' !!! Both of these women have helped me and my clients look beautiful and I am SO proud of them!

As for photography, Andrew of Vick Photography took top honors and I am ecstatic for him! He has had a phenomenal year and this title is well deserved!

he BIGGEST award of the night, which is the 'Top of the Tiara' Award went to the cool dudes at The Traveling Photo Booth! These guys are the shit and I am happy to have partnered with them!!
