I have photographed this feature each year and at first it was 10 pages, last year about 20 pages and this year it was 60 pages - the entire magazine!!!

Metro Magazine: Self Styled Behind-the-Scenes!
You may have noticed that each month, I post a cover + fashion photo from Metro Magazine.
The article is called Self Styled and it is a monthly feature that shows off a certain person's fabulous style. I have been photographing this for almost 2 years now and I absolutely LOVE it! I love the buzz of a full studio - hair, makeup, art directors and stylists running around! It is complete madness at times, but so much fun and I tend to thrive in that environment!
The lovely Emily J, who brings her mad hair & makeup skills to our shoots, sent me over these 'behind the scene' photos for you to check out!

Joynoelle Ad Campaign!
Haut Couture. Those are the first words that come to mind when describing the A-MAZING designs by Joynoelle! I first met Joy last year while shooting her fashion show with Monique Lhuillier and we we hit it off right away! I was ecstatic when she asked me to shoot her new ad campaign – and I couldn’t be happier with how these turned out!
And YES! This is the fabulous Christian who I also used as my model for FFN 3! Can you believe that this shoot was her FIRST time modeling? I LOVE finding hidden gems!

FASHION FIGHT NIGHT 3!!!
WOW! What can I say? February has proven to be a WHIRLWIND of AWESOMENESS for me!!! I couldn't think of a better way to top off this month than Fashion Fight Night 3!!!
The event took place at the Uppercut Boxing Gym and was put on by Metro Magazine!
Our team assembled at 8 am (and we didn't go on until 10pm!) to begin running through hair, makeup, styles and test shoots!!!
First off - a HUGE and ENORMOUS Thank-You to my team! Brandon, Micah, Gabi, Trevor, Christian and Colin - THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! You all brought so much creativity and passion to this event, I couldn't have done it without you all!
The clothes we used for FFN3 were sponsored by Humble Fashion and Belle Reve Boutique!
We BROUGHT the competition and ROCKED the event - and WON!
Colin joined our team last minute (literally the morning of!) and I am SOOOO happy he did! He absolutely brought the energy we needed and was amazing to work with - and the perfect addition to complete my DREAM TEAM!
Also, for all of you reality-show-lovers, Colin will be making his debut THIS TUESDAY on Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel!!! CHECK HIM OUT!

A Little Update...

What is FASHION FIGHT NIGHT?
It is a LIVE photo COMPETITION between 6 of the TOP PHOTOGRAPHERS in the Twin Cities! The shindig is put on by Metro Magazine and the energy is AMAZING! The battles take place in 2 boxing rings and our photos are shown STRAIGHT out of camera for the judges to see!
The best part - proceeds from your tickets go to the LEAD Foundation, which is a SUPER awesome charity!
I will be defending my title from last year and it is going to be INSANE how much my team and I are going to BRING IT! Check out photos from last year!!

What a sweeeeeet way to kick off 2009! The first issue of the year kicks some major ass! I worked with the Metro team to shoot the METRO KEEPERS feature and I am sooooo happy with the way it turned out! Who are the Metro Keepers? It’s an award given out by Metro Magazine featuring 8 local up-and-coming artists! I had SO much fun shooting these portraits, so I hope you enjoy it!
Metro will be putting one of their AWESOME parties to honor these amazing artists on January 22nd at the Red Stag Supper Club in Northeast Minneapolis! Mark it on your calendar – it’s going to be SO. MUCH. FUN!
