Married! // Mr. and Mrs. Sprouls

Katie and Nate had the most delightful wedding day! It was a day that was rooted in love, family, and many moments of magic along the way. One of the things I was most pleasantly surprised with was the weather. Now, I don’t mean to talk about the weather in a wedding blog post, but the day started out hot, humid and full on raining. As our day progressed, it just so happened that every moment we wanted to be outside for photos, the rain not only cleared for the moment but it was miraculously dry! And then there was the sunset - oh the sunset! For a day that was mostly overcast (which also provided beautiful light), the sunset shown bright and bold for Katie and Nate. It’s truly a photographers dream to have good light (and weather) on a wedding day and it’s also one of the things we have so little control over. You never know what you're going to get! But I can’t help but feel like there’s a little divine intervention or magic happening on a day when the clouds part and we get perfect weather - it’s meant to be!

Katie and Nate’s wedding took place in their hometown of St. Paul. Julia Lacroix helped plan an absolutely gorgeous summer garden affair with beautiful flowers at Somerset Country Club. There was live music, a gorgeous custom bar that was a tribute to the family history of marriages and of course a room full of Katie and Nate’s closest family and friends.

One theme I particularly loved throughout the day was noting just how much this couple laughs together. From their vows to speeches, it was clear that Katie and Nate light each other up and will continue the laughter for years to come. They love their family deeply, too, and that was a beautiful thing to witness these two families coming together. Everyone could feel the love!

Here are some images from Katie and Nate’s gorgeous wedding day! Cheers to you both!

Married! // Adam + Tim Part 1

Adam and Tim are pure magic. Truly, for everyone in their life and to everyone they meet, they inspire us all! Both Adam and Tim have a way of seeing you, of genuinely appreciating your talent and they are also the greatest cheerleaders to those they believe in. As their wedding photographer, I have had the sincere pleasure of working with Adam and Tim towards their wedding weekend for the last year and I can honestly say that the gratitude they had for every single vendor involved in their weekend was off the charts. They loved everyone who worked to make their day happen - from the guests who flew in, to their parents, to the server who filled the water glasses - Tim and Adam approached their wedding in a way that I can only say was pure magic for us all!

Adam and Tim are also foodies. To their core, they love to entertain, they believe in hospitality and looooooove good food. This is something we definitely have in common and was also the theme for their whole weekend. They wanted to treat their guests to an entire culinary experience - and it was perfect! Their rehearsal dinner took place at Spoon and Stable, which is a cornerstone and innovative restaurant for our Minneapolis community. It’s also one of Adam and Tim’s favorite places to dine. They have longtime been inspired by Chef Gavin Kaysen and his food. Together with his incredible staff at Soigné Hospitality (Shout out to Nicola, Jessi and Chef Chris Nye!), they all worked to plan the perfect rehearsal dinner experience that also aligned with Gretchen Culver’s (their amazing wedding planner) vision.

The guests were welcomed into a restaurant filled with flowers from Kindred Blooms and custom printed branding + details. As the evening began, we snuck away for a little mini photo session in the rain, along with a private champagne moment over at Demi, another one of Kaysen’s restaurants, that holds a special place in Adam and Tim’s heart. The evening was filled with beautiful moments, speeches, wine, cocktails - and of course food! Enjoy Part 1 from Tim and Adam’s wedding weekend - there’s more to come!
